That true! you can do that by just playing game, a really simple game: guess the meaning of the English words!!! For each word you guess right, 20 grains will be donated to poor people. And imaging that if you play this game everyday, how many rice you will donate to the world? :D

After visit the site, just click the words on the center to start playing, you grain will be counted after you make a right choice. To keep track with your grain, you can set option to know how many grain that you have donated total. Click on the tab Option on the top then click 'Remember my Total Rice Donation from the last time I played when I start FreeRice.' as shown below, and then remember to click Set Option

- This site is a new site (created in October 2007) but had gain a significant result.
- Free-rice is a non-profit organization
- From the beginning until today August 22 2008, this site gain total 41,406,617,390 grains (remember that there are 48 grains per gram and let count how many kilograms it is :D. That a really impressive number by just playing game!)
- Who pay for the donated rice? The rice is paid for by the sponsors whose names you see on the bottom of your vocabulary screen when you enter a correct answer. These sponsors support both learning (free vocabulary for everyone) and reducing hunger (free rice for the hungry). We thank these sponsors for their participation at FreeRice.

Freerice is excellent! They have different subjects available now, too. I think that started just a few days ago.
A free charity word game site to try out is Charitii.com. It's got crossword puzzle questions and it donates drinking water to communities in need.
