Last week we have learn how to trace a car in Illustrator. In this entry i will show you my old work by Illustrator. Actually, i trace this car a long time ago; it is about 10 or 11 month ago, when i am still a semester 1 student. I did this just for fun and to practice my skill. Moreover, i want to discover the power of Illustrator.
As you can see, this picture i not complete yet and will never be complete! ( Maybe. Hehe). I said that because this work is a failure of layers management. At the first time, i did with just 1 layer..um, no...2 or 3 layer and i find that it is difficult to switch between shapes if i make mistakes. I have to found the shape i need in over...um, i do not remember how many shapes that i created :)). It take me a long time. Then it is a mess! and i decided to leave it away. I feel sad when seeing this work incomplete :((

Hopefully in the future, i will complete this work in a better layers management and post it into my blog! Hopefully...
Firstly, i found this picture by Google Search. It's a Ford GT Tungsten.

Then i used the same tracing technique that i learn in class and do this piece. Using gradient tool, transparency layer, and clipping mask. I did want to use gradient mesh tool but still confuse how to use it ( a really hard to control tool but anyway, i will beat it up...keke).

I am very impressed. The amount of time spent on this worth is more than worth it.
Good job! Can't wait to see when it's completed.
hix, i would say "amazing"
Oh sorry, I mean "you traced it in very detail", not "I traced it" :P :P
